There’s one thing that is constant and never changes in the whole universe and that is movement. Everything is moving without exception.
Juxtaposition
The mind is the great measurer. Everything we observe is a derivative of the human mind: a self reflected consciousness that works on the principle of measurements. The act of measuring is made by two primary factors: juxtaposition and anchoring.
The mind measures by juxtaposing one thing to another, and from that juxtaposition it derives a conclusion: a perspective.
This is where relativity emerges as a byproduct, while the phenomenon, in and of itself, is not relative but constitutes the totality of all measurements.
120 degrees Fahrenheit (50 degrees in Celsius) - as a phenomenon - does not tell us anything until we juxtapose it to something. If we juxtapose it to the human body, we will conclude that it is very hot to the point of suffering, and if we juxtapose it in relation to a cup of coffee it will be considered cold. But as long as we haven't juxtaposed it to something, the phenomenon, in and of itself, includes the whole spectrum of possibilities between cold and hot.
Anchoring
The second factor to understand in how the illusion is made, is 'anchoring'.
One of the illusions I really like exposing is the fact that there are no straight lines in the universe. This is a primary universal law. Therefore, if there are no straight lines in the universe, how can we know what direction the motion is; forward or backward?
In reality, all types of motion in the entire universe, both in the invisible world, such as: dark matter / dark energy, and in the visible world, such as: atomic particles and bodies in space, all, without exception, move in a spiral orbit.
The illusion of a straight line is created as a result of relativity: for certain objects such as planets and distant galaxies - because the spiral orbit is so vast from the observer's point of view - the specific part examined appears to be as a straight line.
Therefore we can’t really know the direction of movement. Not until we create an anchoring point from which the motion is observed. Maybe this gif below can illustrate what I mean exactly.
This gif is the closest thing to the real reality of how we, and the entire solar system as a whole, move in space at any given moment.
Just to illustrate what that means: the Earth moves around the sun at a speed of 108,000 km/hr (112,500 miles/hr) and the entire solar system moves around the center of the galaxy at a dizzying speed of almost 800,000 km/hr (500,000 miles/hr)!
This is very fast compared to the speeds we know and work with on Earth.
As we can see, it will be very difficult for our mind to make any measurements as long as everything is in motion.
Since we are not positioned where the camera is in the picture but on Earth, the ‘anchoring' point is “automatically” created by the observer - your mind. In other words, it is all a matter of positioning that determines the variation of the illusion. In relation to our positioning, what we see from our planet looking outwards into outer space is a stationary planet, while the sun and other planetary objects move around it.
This illusion from our point of view is very real.
Therefore, from our point of view there is a cyclical movement that arises. Again, because of the anchoring that emanated as a result of our positioning. This second gif below shows this in a great way.
On the left - the heliocentric model - we can see what the plants’ orbit around the sun would look like if we were to be positioned on the sun. On the right - the geocentric model - we can see what the planets’ orbit, including the sun, looks like when we’re positioned on Earth.
By that we can clearly see how, in relation to positioning, everything changes respectively. Suddenly we have completely different orbits. Suddenly we have orbits in retrograde that do not occur in the heliocentric model on the left, for instance.
The Emergence of Time
As a result, when we juxtapose motion and space side by side from our point of view, what emanates is a tertiary element: a quantum we call 'time'.
In other words, "time" measures the particular type of cyclical movement that occurs as a byproduct of our positioning.
We have created instruments - very accurate clocks for measuring this type relativity from this point of view. But if we take a clock to outer space, it will not be able to serve us in the same way, except, at best, as a nice piece of jewelry or as a reminder of the relativity on Earth.
In other words, when we change the position of the observer and put it in space the whole illusion changes: we no longer have a stationary planet (Earth), we no longer have "sun rising in the east and setting in the west," and so on and so forth.
The Sense of Time
On the same hand, time, and the way we “feel” it, is related to our mind and how it works.
Without memory we have no ability to understand what time is. Without memory, time does not exist as an illusion.
The moment we have a mental memory is the moment the illusion of 'past' emerges. And since everything works on a principle of binary juxtaposed, once we have an illusion of past, immediately the illusion of future emerges as a counterpoint.
In fact, the future and past are like overlapping mirrors; or like one German philosopher once said:
"The future is the past we’re coming from and the past is the future we’re racing towards."
And if it confuses you, it's okay, because it's supposed to be confusing. That's the nature of the illusion.
Therefore, it is through this very extraordinary mechanism - the agency of mind and memory - that the illusion f time is created. .
No other bio-form is endowed with a mental awareness (Mind) as we are and therefore, have no way of understanding what time is. It’s like people go on vacation and they leave their dog. A dog doesn't know you're going on vacation, it can’t grasp that. It can't grasp what tomorrow is, as it cannot grasp yesterday, no way.
Time is place
In truth, what we experience as a "time" is a unique place in space.
If we take a certain date - let's take for instance the 3rd of July 1999 - in reality, it is actually a singular, unique point in space that will never be visited again.
It also means that if you decide to meet a friend on a street corner at 5:00pm today, when you’d come to meet them and they’d stand on the same spot and the dial of the clock moves to 5:01pm, they would no longer occupy the same unique place, although they would still be in the same relative place, if you know what I mean.
Birth and death are actually unique places in space.
As relativity dictates, it is all a matter of positioning that determines the variation of the illusion.
What I mean by that is that, relative to our positioning - that is, from our planet looking out into the world and into outer space - what we see as an illusion, is a planet that is stationary while the sun, the moon and all other planetary objects, are moving around it. In other words, this illusion from our perspective is very real.
And so, within that particular relativity, we have “time” to measure said movements. We have created clocks - very accurate clocks to measure said relativity from our point of view. But take that clock into outer space, and it does nothing for you except of perhaps, reminding you of your relative illusion on planet earth.
When we change the positioning of the observer and put it in space, the whole illusion changes: we no longer have a stationary planet (Earth). No longer do we have a rotating sun around planet Earth, and so on and so forth. In fact, if we really looked carefully we would notice that everything, yes, everything without exception, is moving within space. That includes our sun, and our solar system as a whole, and our galaxy and so on and so forth.
Wait a minute, how then can we conduct accurate measurements in space if everything is moving?
Now we are entering an interesting territory, the territory of quantum and relativity.
Relativity basically says that since everything is moving - in order to conduct accurate measurements - we need to setup an anchor. This is the whole principle behind the missing link between quantum and relativity - trying to find a convergence point between the two. And the connection lies in the observer, which stands as an anchor point.
No observer = quantum domain. (All possibilities exist as potential)
Having an observer = relativity domain. (Anchoring one possibility out of all possibilities into one finite manifestation of said possibility)
That act of seeing out through our eyes is equivalent to this mechanism where we anchor one possibility out of infinite ones. And the anchoring is the very act of seeing. It means that we create our own world. Each and every one of us is filtering and thus creating their own unique movie, our life, our illusion.
A phenomena can only exists if there is an observer - this is the first prime law of relativity (if a tree falls in the forest does it make a sound?).
This is exactly it - once we set an anchor - automatically at that point, relativity emerges. This is the prime law of the illusion - duality juxtaposed creates a third, illusory element.
This is what time is - time cannot exist if there is no anchoring point. Which means that time belongs to relativity and thus is an illusion.
In conclusion:
Indeed, Time is an illusion. It is only real inside our mind.
It is the result of mental awareness endowed with the agency of memory through which it observes cycles of motion.
Out perception time is only unique to us and it is that way our mind defines a unique position in space from the perspective of relativity.
