The Three Faces of Eve: The Hidden Pattern Behind Face Masks
Our faces are much more than we've come to think and know about.
As I observe that mask mandates are coming back, I felt it's a good opportunity to revisit this topic and approach it from a different angle. Since I have written a lot about this topic in which face masks are:
Counterintuitive to health.
Don’t prevent transmission.
Induce prolonged breathing of CO2 which is toxic.
In breathing more CO2 the heart has to use greater force in order to drive the blood to the lungs for purification, which enhances the risk for having irregularities with the heart rhythm and blood pressure.
Diminished breathing leads to heightened anxiety.
Become an identification marker for ostracizing society.
Adds to the already handicapped abilities of humanity to communicate with clarity which lead to further misunderstandings, which then lead to error prone, accidents and the wastage of money as a byproduct.
Other than all these, I knew that it won’t matter much. I knew masks would stay as a new behavioral marker.
Indeed, one of the major variables that drives that is fear. The human mind - that thing that we’ve come to absolutely identify as who we think we think we are - is terribly afraid. A mind that has assumed control of life, now coupled with abnormal fear is not a good recipe. It leads to irrational behavior. In other words, masks are a placebo for the human mind as a means to control the abnormal anxiety that arises within, in the form of uncertainty and powerlessness, irrespective of efficacy. So are quarantines and lockdowns. The deeper the fear, the more extreme the measures. Common sense and factual data are shoved down the memory hole at that point because it’s not about science, it’s about fear.
But there is another aspect, that goes much deeper and is percolating within the human race as to why more and more of us cling to masking as a fully formed behavior. It’s about the fact that our faces, and what they stand for, are being “erased”.
Egregor
Not long ago I stumbled upon a very interesting post by Jay Rollins at The Wonderland Rules substack about Egregor. A form of a collective mind. It’s a collective mechanism through which religions and cults; beliefs and identities spread and maintain themselves. It’s a word to describe emergent myths that become something that is alive. But what I found most remarkable (and does save me a lot of time in explaining), is that egregor is alive and maintained subconsciously by the power of our facial expressions.
To quote:
Emergent myths are alive.
But how do they spread? The internet is the most obvious vector for the spread of myths, which in the context of the web are merely another form of information. Outside the internet, though, it gets more interesting.
Mirror neurons are the basis of empathy. They are also the basis of egregores.
The facial muscles of the human animal have been categorized and grouped by the recognizable expressions they produce, most notably by Dr. Paul Ekman, who invented the Facial Action Coding System. While there is dispute in the psychological community regarding how to express the complexity of facial phonemes, those phonemes do form a language. And like any language, there are dialects within facial language, which I think of as gesture sets.
These gesture sets are the delineations of an expression—a sly smile or a thoughtful frown—characteristic to a social group. Gesture sets are like a regional accent; they are characteristic of places and cultures. People can have more than one; anyone who code switches, or uses different social languages with different groups, has a different gesture set for each language.
Stepping back to the level of spoken languages like English, or Chinese: As anyone who speaks more than one language will tell you, speaking a different language changes the way you think; the shape of the container dictates the form of the contents. This has been borne out by neuroimaging; blood flow to the language centers of polyglots and monoglots looks different on brain scans. Your gesture set, being how you express social language, is by nature a determining factor in the way you think about the world.
Egregores, then, are contained within the human face.
Anyone sufficiently versed in facial language on a practical level—therapists, con men, performers—can tell with a fair degree of accuracy important facts about a person’s background by looking at their facial gesture set. It is not a huge leap, then, to apply this insight to the egregore phenomenon.
People who live in cities, for example, generally have tighter facial muscles than those who live in rural areas. If they are also explicitly followers of a social movement which gives them identity through belonging (religion being one example), their faces simultaneously have an untroubled quality to them, as is to be expected from those with a source of great social strength. Using the concept of intersectionality of identity, one can use those characteristics and others like them to typify people as followers of a particular egregore.
Social contagion, then, particularly among those in liminal or liminoid periods of their lives, is the mechanism by which egregores spread. People in college, for example, who are especially susceptible to new ideas (which is more or less the point of college), first mirror the gesture sets of those around them, and then later adopt the explicit dogma of the egregore. Similarly, people who move to new places are bombarded with the local gesture sets, and after a time integrate the local egregores into their ways of thinking.
To elaborate on the mechanics, belief, thoughtform (egregor) and groupthink are a byproduct of the emotional system. Our emotional center is an awareness related to relatedness, where we’re able to sample and relate to the spirit of another being. This is our ‘gregariousness’ awareness (‘greg’ in the word ‘egregor’ comes from Latin, which is translated to ‘herd’).
Other than the mundane and obvious, the emotional system is the progenitor of human mysticism and religion. It is the source of the abstract process in the human mind, the human experiential way and the source of belief. And so it happens that our faces are connected to our emotional awareness.
We are the only species endowed with emotions
We are the only species endowed with an emotional awareness. (I can already see the tightening frown of pet owners saying to themselves “how dare he say that Max is not emotional?!!”).
Well, in terms of pure mechanics, no other animal is endowed with an emotional apparatus. From all life forms, only mammals have emotional receptors by which they receive the emotional field coming from humans. The fact that we see them emoting is the byproduct of us and them coming together. On their own they have no capacity to emote (other than activation by planetary transit). When we observe them acting in such a way in nature, however, is the byproduct of us projecting onto these animals human characteristics. But strictly speaking, within the animal itself, it operates purely on an instinct/intuition basis.
What separates us from our mammalian relatives is that their facial gestures are limited. A chimpanzee smile is very crude because it doesn’t have the depth of the emotional spectrum since it’s not endowed with such awareness.
What I’m trying to allude to is that, as part of our evolution, thousands and thousands of years ago, was about the endowment of an (emerging) emotional apparatus that has enabled the human species to form egregors. Biochemically speaking, this is expressed as a wave function by which we sense our feelings, emotions and desires. The emotional wave is always moving up and down from high to low; from pain to hope, and back up again. The awareness, however, lies underneath the placement of the wave. That’s why there’s no truth in the now when it comes to emotions. Clarity can emerge only over time.
What we see in religious teachings is that they endeavored to create an element of faith and to evoke a wave of emotion carrying people up to the level of 'objective consciousness.' The attempts of both the one and the other, sometimes more sometimes less successful, run through the whole history of mankind from the most ancient times up to our own. In most instances, the wave is not transmuted and what we get is a form of a lock of emotions that turn into hardcore belief such as obsession, fanaticism and zeal.
On a strictly mechanical basis, the emotional apparatus allows the human species to program information into an invisible field (the scalar field). This is synonymous with egregor, a thoughtform or belief. But we do this unconsciously. That’s why belief and emotions are always stronger than reason and logic. Biologically speaking, all that is being done through a sophisticated system of ganglions and motor neurons that operate our intricate nervous system.
In this way, it is through our emotional apparatus that we can “hypnotize" and control the mammalian world. Has anyone pondered how a relatively small fragile figure can control and tame animals of enormous size and power? This is a byproduct of the emotional awareness.
The moment we were endowed with emotional apparatus, a new dimension of operating with information has opened up for us. And so our faces became reflectors for the intricate nuances of our ability to emote, but also projectors. There’s tremendous information that we pass on to one another subconsciously through our facial gestures.
Note: I want you to suspend for a moment everything you think and know about belief and look at it from a strictly mechanical standpoint. This, later on, will enable to understand what is going on right now within the human species under the surface.
According to what I know, the emotional awareness is not yet a full awareness but has been ongoing in various stages of development throughout the last six thousand years.
The biblical mythology about the birth of Eve from Adam’s rib is a metaphorical allegory to the birth of our emotional awareness. The placement of Adam’s rib corresponds to our solar plexus area and the intricate ganglions it embeds. Each significant period in our history, such as our movement to monotheistic religions, Jesus and Buddha to name a few, are external markers that signify steps in the transformation of the emotional system.
In other words, without emotional awareness there was no possibility to create the godhead in our image as a binding glue of tribes and societies. It was not possible to form religion. They’re all an imperative egregor that has bonded and has organized humanity for a certain purpose and direction.
Apparently, we are living in times that signify the last stage in the transition of the emotional apparatus to become a full awareness in 2027 (This explains the loss of power of religion which leads to a backlash response in the form of tension between fundamentalism and globalization). At that moment it will no longer be called ‘emotional awareness’ but ‘spirit consciousness’. In spirit consciousness it is possible to feel, see and exist anywhere all at once. However, it is not for us to experience or understand.
What differentiates emotional awareness from spirit consciousness is a motor function that is tied to the awareness. This is where it gets bizarre.
Erasing our Faces
According to what I know, Covid comes from within us, not from without. It’s a dis-ease of the emotions - a byproduct of the last step in the transformation of the emotional infrastructure of mankind.
Many critics talked about the mass formation which has been formed in humanity, expressed as the illogical and contradicting measures, and the consensus formed around unscientific data. That is, belief has superseded reason in all sectors of life. All of this is a form of egregor that has now settled as various beliefs in our society which were not as hardcore as before Covid.
From the beginning, - the obsession with masking and all the identity markers that stemmed from it - it was clear to me that the covering of our faces was symbolic, or it mirrored the loss of information of what our faces stood for in terms of placeholders for emotional interrelatedness for thousands of years, as a means to solidify beliefs and form egregors.
When we look at autism, which is a condition (not a disorder) in which the emotional wave has been diminished, - one of the major things that are dissolved in such a disposition is the ability to translate facial cues and expressions to their respective emotional informative placeholders. And so the derivatives of the transformation in the emotional infrastructure expressed by Covid were reflected in the thoughtform that emerged as a byproduct. The insistence in covering our faces symbolizes the loss of that information marker to establish egregores within a community of people. Something that has made us fundamentally human.
In other words, all our facial expressions are unique expressions of the various positions of the motor wave function tied to our emotional apparatus. And since the motor wave function is being de-linked from it, as part of the final step towards an emerging new awareness, it is reflected as “erasure of our faces”.
There's more.
It’s through our faces that, as societies, we established boundary lines between collective truths and lies, as social agreements. Our sense of right and wrong, conscience, morality and empathy are markers that have been solidified as egregors by our faces. Now that this information is being “erased”, in a way, we are turning into sociopathic, cold and apathetic automatons.
What that means is that facial gestures can be mimicked to form egregors without the (wave) information behind them, just like someone wearing a mask of a different character covering their true colors. As a result, it will be very difficult to identify the underlying motivations of others.
In other words, on one hand our faces are erased, and everything that goes with it, whereas on the other, many of us become more accustomed to “shape-shift” our faces, as if they were character masks, in order to instill in the other a form of egregor as a psychological induction mechanisms to sway them to follow a certain action. It also means that more and more of us are turning into sociopaths without the clinical prognosis. The unprecedented rise in mental illnesses is also a reflection of the transition.
We’ve seen this a lot with past serial killers, but more so in recent times with various con artists and imposters. It’s like there is no empathy behind the face, because again, empathy and compassion are merely markers of the emotional wave. And since its shutting down, so are they.
We are truly marching towards a very bizarre and cold consciousness. This transition is not going to be without pain. All our creations are merely the result of filtering information. We don’t know that we know. And so, everything we’ve seen and read in sci-fi, horrow or dystopian story are depictions of such transition.
I hope that by this expose on a rather fascinating topic you can get a taste of what’s percolating under the surface at the moment. To be able to see the larger framework, in order to gain some context and understand why these patterns are forming all around us in spite of the superficial rhetoric on top.
